Coolhand, narrower track won't affect the steering geometery but will sharpen up the turn in.Completely different things.Turn in describes the way the car handles the beginning 3rd of the turn.
When you tune a chassis you break down the cars behaviour into turn in,mid corner and exit.A sorted car should pull a balanced drift on a balanced throttle(balanced throttle=constant speed).
Using more steering radius on turn in on a car that pushes under turn in will only make the problem worse.Generally the less you steer the faster you go whatever part of the corner you're in(steering acts as a brake).A sorted car is steered via controlling the front/rear balance as much as,probably more than, by turning the front wheels.
Longer on the front shorter on the back has the same effect. That is why I said I was thinking backwards. I got you crazy. Keep me straight. If I keep on I have to change name to crazy 3.:D

Okay. I have took it out for a sping tonight. It was a little damp form the rain. I had to do it. It did not do bad. I have a more recent pic as well. It was kind of dark out. Lost my pinion as well. Had to give up. It would pick the front tires up. Suprised me really. I have a problem in the steering. Don't turn worth nothing.
Peace!

The stock steering for the MGT is also relatively poor. There are several modifications you can do to help with it.
I got all my MGT steering information from the following site:
I did some changing around on my steering. What a difference. I move my linkage on the servo saver. It was not pushing as much as it should. It acually hits the end points now. Thanks for the site batfish. I am running the stock servo and don't have the stock tires. I am happy with the way it is turning for now. Much better. It was taking about a 8 ft circle before. got it down to a 2.5 ft.
Peace!
