I have made a new servo/reciever mount becasue i didn't liked the one from FLM and i'm gonna use a 24.5kg strong Big-scale servo for steering

Just adjust the angle of the servo! Not totally 60 degrees but so that he brakes but not too hard. You can either select the speed of the servo so it doesn't brakes so directly and hard.

Hi Joram, very nice truck!! I was just the other day trying to make a small part, and was trying to think of other parts i can replace with the green acrylic for my truck! hehehe Is it 6mm or larger??

I am curious as to your steering servo tho - it looks as if you havent made the hole yet for it in the pictures, or do you have a sneaky trick up your sleeve?

The acrylic is 3mm from ACRYAN, pc stuff

I haven't made the hole for the servo because i know how big it is but not where the servohorn must be for locating the servo. Because when i make the hole for it, maybe it's not at the right place for the horn And then i have to make another one

I made today a fan for the motor, it is originally a 7cm pc fan:) It works on 12v , lots of cooling power.

haha! I assumed it was thicker because u mentioned the 24kg servo =)

The fan is interesting... custom, or original mounts mate?

I also notice you have raised the motor mount plate... how high have you raised it, and are the spacers only on the screws? I was considering this also to make room for my packs, but was unsure if i should make up a whole 'plate' or just use some spacers on the 4 mounting screws...

I'm gonna strenght the plate with aluminium on the underside, because a 24.5kg servo has a lot of power;)

The spacers are only on the screws, i used very long ones wich i had. The ones who come with the kit are too short for that. You see that i used 2 shorter ones because you can't see there any fitting.. I'm gonna use there too longer ones but i have to buy them.

Just use spacers, is too very suitable for cablemagement... as you can see with the fancable.

Greetz,
Joram
