Thanks eric.
Tricycle idea sounds pretty good, but why not something like a recumbent?

BL_RVO,

Do you have any pics of the freewheel assembly?

Jeff

its for my dad to get back into the woods , he doesnt get around to well anymore, and it would be very stable for him... , where we hunt there are some great walking/hiking trails that are good enough to bike, he cant walk the 2 or so miles in and out everyday , so i have been looking into a 3 spd. 3 wheel bike for him and he is very interested , and the electric front hub would be his hill/slight grade assist

i guess i will just have to see what he wants to spend....i found a single speed 3 wheeler at walmart for $250 , but a 3 spd. would be better imo..and the bike shop said they can change the main gear to help with the gearing advantage but the 3 spd. was $480 (better bike of coarse) and the electric conversion they sell/install would get this bike to about $1500 total with the bike....

i know if i did it with a single speed and did the conversion myself i can do it much cheaper

i am just in the research stage now
