+1

this guy is just showing how he turned an old turd (t-maxx) into a fun, waterproof truck with very little money. at least it isn't nitro

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

Were you in the US Navy or something? With a site name like radioman you must have been a twidget in the service right?

We truly do want to know what the huge vehicle is, and whats in it. I have no idea or I would not have asked.

Nice little truck for cheap if you just wanted to throw something together to bash and trash. I certainly wouldn't be drving my trucks underwater. Not a bad idea to keep in mind if you wanted a disposable truck to be reckless with. I'm sure you can find some good deals on ebay to throw things together. Even some of the PIF threads could get you a long way there.

In the end, its not the same as a high power/ hi performance rcs, but that's ok.

Much like an old fat lady's lips feel the same as a hot young brunette's, just don't open your eyes, look down and ruin the show. ;)

At least that's what Harold told me once. I wouldn't know about the old women part, and I don't think he knows about the hot brunettes... anyway, the point is the same.. :)

I think mine is..............waterproof to the MAXX........

ALL my bearings are Packed with Water Insoluble Lithium Grease
plus 3 caps full of Liqued Wrench L2 in the sealed transmission.
and i flush the motor with WD40 after EVERY run wet or dry.
im not stupid .
I run 6 battery packs a day on this thing now for about 3 weeks and No problems .
and the brushes are 98% Perfect .
and after that today there was not a drop of water in the tranny
i do stuff like in the second videos Every time i run it.
Plus I maintenance the truck once a week.

Water Insoluble Lithium Grease in ALL bearings
and other parts
The stuff it SWEET!!!!

Plus good "normal" maintenance.

you can get it at

Agway
advanced auto

this is the stuff here :

I have been runing rc's in deep water and Mud for 3 or 4 years and NEVER have had a Bearing go bad or or even beginning to show signs of rust.

i run in mud NEVER in sand ....
sand is the Number one killer of rc's the sand grinds your bearings up big time.
for sand you would want VERRY DRY bearings this way less sand sticks.

sand and salt = QUICK DEATH!

im in mud and water EVERY day sofar and not even a HINT of rust
not even on the old screw heads and my bearings are like new when i remove them for maintenance thay still run smooth .

But i do a TOTAL cleanup and relube were needed within 20 minutes after calling it a day.

but i dont run my truck on a salt pile.

you cant take a " Vergine " truck into water and mud without the proper preparation for were you are going to use it.

the proper lube and Grease for the situation and environment is a MUST !!!

And for water and mud

I DO NOT use inserts
and my tires are only bonded in the inside bead.
hence i have no problem with the ballance or the tires holding water and slowing me down.
