Nice build. Just sick. Looks like some military stealth attack vehicle.

I have officially entered in metallover's 2008 Build thread.

Officially I must also make a disclaimer that this project was begun in August 2005, so that might be a little advantage over the guys who started AND finished theirs in 2008.

And this is just really a progressing prototype, I may or may not end up making a final version, there really is no good reason to other than to satisfy my own small issues with symmetry of this and that.

TDC Shaun, I don't have video, I may have to figure that out, looking at your Battle Truck thread I am amazed the effort you put in to that project alone, alot of you guys have so much more time and money into multiple projects- can I really be taken seriously with (1) yes ONE RC?

Ok I do have a HobbyZone Super Cub too, with a brushless, about 4x the power as stock- you know just what a beginner needs.... And so far I suck at helis, and quite possibly planes as well....

I am so out of my league here, but thanks!!!!!!!

Just added my site to my profile. A few years back I went on a bender modding some Tamiya static bike models- check it out...

I've seen customs bodies(but nothing this elaborate), custom chassis, and shock towers, but never custom bulks!!! And never any of this stuff together! Great truck redshift. The most original Maxx I've seen to date! Enjoyed the video.

Cool guys I hope to do many more videos, just waiting for weather to break.

Kcaz25 I guess the best way to describe it is bulkless/integrated bulks, if that makes any sense.... but that was one of my design goals, to eliminate the weak point where the bulks attach to the chassis tray on the stocker. As you might imagine that has not been a problem

I must have missed this one before. Now that is how you do a custom home made vehicle. That is a pretty cool rig you built there. Taking a cheap piece of junk and turning it into a work of art is definitely a cool way to go. Nice build Redshift. That shows some real ingenuity.

Hehe it's a stealthy thread... thanks for the compliments

It is finally bulletproof after doing the 3mm upgrade on the spool and the solid pins on the input shaft and seems to be up to the level I had in mind when I started the project.

I had a 'minor' collision with the 3905 you see in the video, cost him a snapped upper a-arm and two bent shock shafts- cam was off at the time... darn!

A little update, I no longer own the MA garbage mentioned early in the thread (yeah I thought those were impressive at one time).

It runs purely on Hyperion Swift 4000 non-hardcase packs now and they must have about 3 times the punch of those 'other' packs, I am still undergeared at 22/64 and the Swift packs don't even get slightly warm like
my Evo25 FP packs.

Also I no longer use grease in the diffs and trans, I use Oil Treatment. Far less drag and doesn't pack like grease of course, and actually stays on the metal under extreme loads- I recommend it for any gear applications.

I am looking to start replacing the temporary parts with final versions and remake some damaged body pieces. Actually for what abuse it took over the winter I am astonished how little damage there is

More chase cam videos to come, cams will be mounted on BOTH trucks- gonna be a good time!
