Tu es bete...
The older lst tires have no voids on the treads, the newer aftershocj tires have a void in the large lug every other one.
Here are the tires with the voids : http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSB7201

I don't think steering performance will be a real problem as ALL of your steerable wheels are powered, as well as the locked center axle. The center section will always be pushing the truck in the direction of the turn and so it wont really need to "drag" the tires around as much.

Actually it steers well. The servo savers must be replaced with solid servo horns. They suck!! When the truck was doing 30mph it would easily cut turns of 3-4ft diameter... Now that it is slower it turns like a bus, but not as bad as yu would think. It climb well, but the talons are horrible, just not enough lug height to really grip. And the front needs more weight. I am working on it slowly and should have some pics of it up soon. I will wait to vid it until I get the kinks worked out and a decent power system installed.

Got a few runs on it now, works well. It definately needs solid servo horns, and I think I will run steering on the center set of wheels too. I just got a pair of 1/4 scale servos for cheap, and will make a custom flat chassis for the rear so that I can use them there. I will stick to the jr 9000t for the front steering as space is limited and want to keep the stock chassis up front.
I broke 2 plastic driveshafts, but I do have 2 pairs of cvds coming so that should cure that problem. The series wiring of the motors sucks, it has good crawl speed but not enough torque. I think I will try the outrunner and see how it does. I already have it so no real cost, just need to change my wiring (again!)
I would have pics but I had to box up my work pc and camera due to office cleaning, but I will have pics next week (promise)

No time for pics, I scratch build a 2.2 crawler chassis today and got it rolling. Took some pics of that. I am also working on installing a pair of 1/4 scale servos in the 6x6. Sick of the weak servos that i am currently using, and have a pair of hitec digital 1/4 scale servos that I picked up for 30 bucks each... May have to trim the chassis a bit, but it will have killer steering then.
Also ordered my 32p pinions so it will be outrunner powered by the end of the week!

I have an axi 2826/12, with a 5mm shaft, 760kv. On 4s with 14/72 gearing it should do about 5-6mph in 1st and a bit more in 2nd. Should have the pinions in soon, so I will have some more info then.

That is really cool! Looks like it's fun to drive. No problems with steering I take it? All you need to do now is find a body that will fit. Might have to splice two together.

I just took it apart and had a look, seems fine to me. I would prefer a pair of modded al bulks, and have a set that I may get... Should have the 1/4 scale servos and the new chassis on today.
