We had 7" of rain yesterday/today and my network has been blinky - couldn't operate but a single desktop off the router, tried everything. Now its quit raining, starting to dry out and everything's nearly back to normal, may still be a touch slow...

Give them a call on Monday and say you are unsatisfied with the speed. It could simply be poor coax wiring somewhere.

Is the wiring that sensitive? Both my coax and CAT5 look like mangled junk.

That's on a wireless connection on my laptop, with about 80% signal strength. Good enough on the download, just wish that upload were faster

The wire management isn't an issue. If the bundles of wire are tugging on the coax connectors they might be coming apart and creating a bad connection. It's just like R/C wiring, bad connections have higher resistance. That's why I love fiberoptics. Too bad you cant run a car on red light....

Dollar says you're using RoadRunner.

Wait, isn't that all SoCal has? Grr.

Me? SoCal also has Verizon Fios, but I'm not sure how that compares.

Eh, that's right.
Yeah, what are you using?
Roadrunner right? :p

I'm wondering why RoadRunner's upload is so slow lately.
Before it used to be speeding.. Hmm

Yep, Roadrunner. We've been using it for about 10 years now. Honestly the upload speed doesn't bother me too much, but it is a cause for confusion.
