Swift, sorry for not recognizing your undergearing! I was only looking at your wiring back then.
Fortunately Leroy did the maths! You're the man, CHC!

Swift, say, what temps were you getting with this undergearing? I imagine the motor heated up a bit, but batts and ESC were cool, right?

Definitely get a Strobe and some nice pinions from Mike! I'm sure you won't be dissapointed!

Well london is quite a cold place this time of year, so everything was cool. Motor was maybe 20 celcius or something. Rest was cold.
Now for the questions:

What pieces for the slipper do i need? Is 17/51 Gearing ok? Delrin or nylon?

this:

http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...od=Slipper-Kit
and
http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=ofn30110
and some of this? Fits the 1930?

5mm bore, mod1 pitch pinion
Use these pinions on your motors that come equipped with a 5mm shaft. Excellent for use on the ofna spus gears used on the strobe slipper assembly. Not recommended for use on metal spur gears. The 10 tooth pinions have a 6mm bore and includes the needed bore reducer.

Oh and where in swizterkand are you Dafni, I go to Gstaad and geneva about 3 times a year.

I think you'll need a 4mm bore pinion for the 1930.

I live near Bern or Thun. Not too close to Gstaad or Geneva, unfortunately. But whenever you are in Switzerland and have a spare day, you're welcome to drop by!

Is that the correct items for the slipper? Dont need anything else? What about 17/51 gearing?

Found it:
4mm bore mod1 pinions
Fits the Lehner 19 series motors with a 4mm shaft

Will these fit with the strobe slipper?

Correct pinions! Nylon spur will do. Gearing depends on your wheels, too. I would get more than one pinion. Maybe an 18t for you.

You only need the spur and the strobe adapter (it comes with a set of pads and bearing, and you can use the stock slipper plates and spring)

There are only 15, 14, 13, 12 and 10T pinions for 19 series... I already have a 17T, but only a 12T is also in stock.

If you email mike he can make you up some swift. Get the size you need then. I sorry for noticeing the problem of undergearing either. I didn't realize the motor was quite that slow on kv. You get it right the motor is quite powerful for its size. 18 51 should get you in about the mid 30 mph.

Peace!

IM sorry but mid 30mph is not fast enough :p I have a KE 2 with a RB .28 coming up so i think i might need to step up to a 1950/6 or something :D

Anyway, ill see how the new gearing goes. Youve all been great help so far btw!

You will be able to achieve nitro speed with the 1930, no doubt! Just ask mike, I'm sure he can hook you up with a pinion. He makes very very nice pinions out of gear rods.

And, yes, any Mod1 pinion will work with the ofna spur on your strobe.

If you want to go really fast with a maxx. I think it would be best to step up.

Money is not too much of a problem. The problem is time. I could put a 30 series, but i do not have the time to make a mount ect. Im very busy atm.

For faster speed, theoretically lets say a 1950/6 on 16 cells could get me to around 45mph and still pull wheelies anytime i want? That is basically what i am looking for.
