I'm running 4s 25-30+C
Going to the track this Sat and plan on trying a 8000mah 3s 25C to see how it likes it.

On 4S I'd use a 1900 or 2000kV motor. The maximum RPM is right in the 28000-35000rpm efficiency range with these, and it makes gearing easy.

I used to run a 36-60-2000 Medusa in my Hyper 9E, on the same cells that you have, geared 15/40 and it was excellent. I would now go with a 14T 1st however, which is nice, since they include one with the kit.

It's such a bummer Medusa aren't around anymore.

Tekin's motors seem to have more pop to them than a comparable Neu motor.

I went with the 1900Kv motor Tekin setup in my Hyper 9E. Previously was using the Neu 1512 2.5D/F motor.

Anyone got pics of the Hyper 8.5 arm mod, close up comparison to the stock Hyper 9E upper a-arm?

The battery tray is 175mm long (might stretch to 178mm - that is absolute maximum though!). Width is 46mm and you can have practically any height due to the bodyshell design.

Spur is a 40T, and you could fit probably up to a 44/46T in there - main problem though is that it uses very small diff cases (short ones), you'd be hard pressed to fit a bigger one in there - it also uses small outdrive bearings.
It will fit, considering my previous measurements. Looks like you'll have to mount it with 42.5mm side face down, and have it 47.5mm tall. It won't have any fitting issues, due to the body design.
