As much of the motor as it covers up, I worry that it will only add to the heat problems.

Its flowing more a larger volume of air over that portion of the motor than if it were uncovered.... Soor to shoot down your logic

I recieved a couple of them today and tried them out on various motors to see what they fit. One thing I noticed was it is basically a shroud and relies on the cans cooling fins for output venting. So smooth can motors may not vent as well, or I guess you could drill some holes, but I think the logic was to blow air around as much of the can as possible before venting.

Pictures:

Fits perfectly on a Neu-Castle

Fits on a finned Neu 1515 perfectly as well

And a finned Neu 1512 (same diameter)

Doesn't fit on a 1515 Tekno-Neu square can - Duh

Fits pretty good on a Tekin T8

Fits ok on a smooth can Neu 1509 (a little loose)

Worked ok on a Feigao

Too big for a Castle CMS36 can

Way too big for a 540 sized can

And the only output venting is via the ribs on the can.

I don't think so because the Tork has the heatsink in the center which will get in the way.

Tork motor has much longer cooling 'pins' vs the shorter fins around the afforementioned motors, so you would have to stretch it so much that it might break/ split.

You could stick the motor in a lathe though I suppose....

Actually IT DOES fit the Tork motor ! My son just got his and yes you do have too stretch it on kinda but it looks good and works GREAT ! Much cooler now than it was without , though we were only hitting the 140's before , but he wanted it for the cool factor . And I must say , it does look pretty cool !

Can the fan be turned around in the shroud, so the wire is closer to the reciver & facing the FR of the vehicle ?.
