yes, emachine exports a DXF file in 2d.. it's a pita to get it right.

and with emachine you can't make constructions of several parts together.

Yeh. Alibre can do full exports and does assemblies of upto 10 parts. If you buy it you get unlimited parts per assembly. Check out this assembly made in the free version:

Anyone know a good simple program for doing line drawings, maybe with all the measurements showing etc?

For drawing stuff like motor mounts... not a whole car even... and nothing fancy like the super cool 3D drawings in the posts above ^

Just something basic and easy to use.

working on a stretch version today.
i can do what i need now.
draw plates.
for the center diff idea i want to use existing center driveshaft so the chassis needs to be 15mm longer.
