Ok, thought you were going to make an L out of 2 flat pieces...

That should be fine, have fun making it. Will you do it by hand, or do you have access to a machine?

You need to figure out how to square it up too. If by chance you get a piece of AL Ang extrusion that is actually 90degrees, box it up, and bury it in the yard, cause its worth its weight in gold! Most of the time, the angle is less than 90, so you can shim under one edge to get it sit square. Best method is to find a piece that has been machined square.

email from mike:

Me: Hey mike, im getting a second hand Cen matrix TR FRE edition. im wondering what is the smallest and largest pinion i can use with a 66t spur and your mount. thanks

-ben

Mike:I don’t think there are many pinion options with the 62t spur – I made the mount with the 46t spur in mind (12-25t or so pinion range with the 46t spur). I would guess about 11-14t or less pinion range with the 62t spur.

so thats out of the picture anyways.

how much pinion-to-spur flex would i be expecting without the mount tied into the CD and what are the effects of this?

Unless metric are different from SAE, thats actually an 82 degree c'sink. How much do those run BTW. I just get them from work.
