If not, looks like I have another order to make. =/

Not sure, I have a feeling the mount was designed with the use of stock gearing, so 25/63. I have a 24t pinion on right now, and it is about the smallest that will fit with the 63 spur. I have a 59t spur also, but the 24 will not reach it. I have a feeling that a 26t will reach the 59 spur, so I plan to buy some larger pinions from mike. Maybe a 25,26,and 27... Just need to sell some more stuff to boost my gaypal funds.

I agree. Maybe it's because of underage people like me that are slightly less honest.

Gurrrrrgggghghhhhhh. Well crap. I guess I have to order a 24T now. With my luck the 20T will get here today. I'm going to be running a 63T spur too, so if you feel you need to move that 63 TiNi, I might be able to help you out in that department.

Hmm, well I will take a look at the gearing for the other lst (I have 2) and get back to you. I would really like to run the 59t spur on this lst, as I want some more speed. The 63t may go on the other truck as I think 35 or so will be as fast as I want it to go.

Got some new front knuckles today from New Era. Very nicely made and packaged. They do need a little cleaning to remove some small al bits, but otherwise look great. Definately much stronger than the plastic stockers!

How much were the New Era knuckles? I got some for my Muggy from Golden Horizons for ~$24 and they've been holding up great so far. I know New Era makes some excellent stuff, but these GH pieces have been great so far.
Just don't forget the threadlock on your steering screws, they'll jostle out in a hurry without it.
All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

Paid 27 + shipping, which was about 3 bucks. Everyone on the lst forums suggested them to me, so i went with them. I also needed some specific emaxx bulks and new era had them too. So I saved a bit on shipping...

That works. Those are a little cleaner than the GH ones, there was a bit of a seam on mine from the casting but that doesn't bother me.

lstforums.com seems like a good place for info. Plenty of nitro users that race, and a decent selection of electric guys too. Most are over here as well.

Updates! -
03.21.2009, 08:28 PM
Started working on adapting the muggy bellcrank servo saver steering setup to the lst. It is one of the things that I do not like about the lst, and countless fixes exist for the steering, but none actually address the design's short comings.
I have made decent progress and should have some picture ready material soon. This mod will require a new chassis plate to be made, as I will run a single servo, and it will not reside in the facotry mount holes.
I also plan to extend the chassis length 1.55 inches between the front bulk and the tranny. I arrived at this length as the front center driveshaft can be replaced with a lst1 wheel driveshaft. This will do 2 things, give me more room to mount the battery tray, and the added wheelbase will tame the wheelies a bit. Plus my current setup is slightly nose heavy, moving the lipo an inch back will help that too. And I get to use an off-the-shelf part, and I have about 8 of them.
It is a reasonably simple mod, but does require trimming the side braces and front top brace. This mod can be done with the stock length center driveshafts, but the brake and reverse servos may need to be moved around slightly.
Pics to come soon.

Hey James, what do you think would be a reasonable speed range to gear for in the LST2 using a CC Neu 2200 on 6s? I am looking at lowest to highest speed.
I just ordered the TDR motor mount then saw the 20t pinion I planned using may not work with the mount. So if I am stuck with the 25t pinion that puts me at 60 mph with the big joes that are on it. Do you think this is too much considering the weight of the truck?

conventional wisdom would say thats too much speed for that heavy of a truck. but that system is in a savage and geared for 60mph, so it just may work. I say try it and check temps often. maybe we're all being too conservative
