My maxx looks like this currently :







I weighed it, here are the results FYI :

- Body + Clips : 156g (0.34 lb)
- Protek Lipo : 310g*2 = 590g (1.30 lb)
- Mashers tires + Maximizer rims : 1385g (3.05 lb)
- E-Maxx chassis : 3785g (8.34 lb)

Total w/o lipo : 5326g (11.74 lb)
Total w/ lipo : 5916g (13.04 lb).

Here is my next upgrade :



It's the new HPP wheel hub, soon available. No more slope normally ! I will test it soon (I will post pics at least, my maxx hates winter...).

I'm not really worried by the slight axial slope (look at my driving style...) but I want the best for my maxx

Trying to figure out if I can buy HPP parts from a US dealer somewhere...

HPP parts are only available on the HPP online store for the moment

I finally found the time to install the HPP wheel hubs !

Here is the idea :



Here is the result, step by step (as usual !) :




Washer, axle pin, thread lock.


Hub.


Center nut with grease.


Wheel !

And tadaaa :


Bkack wheel nut.


Desanodized wheel nut.

And of course, absolutely no slop

To be honest, I only installed this wheel hub on my E-Revo (http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24654) for the moment, I want to compare the reliability of both wheel hubs (Traxxas vs HPP) before buying a new set for my maxx.

I love my maxx

My setup is perfect for bashing, I wanted to reassert it

During the last session (sept or october I think) I landed on a rock and I bent one of my chassis brace :



And I lost one UE standoff :



^It's more problematic because I don't think UE sells them separately and it's hard to do business with Robin, he doesn't like shipping outside USA. I will try and if it doesn't work I find a home-made solution.

Another thing I have to find are sturdy body posts/clips easy to replace and a solution to avoid breaking bodies every session... I have some ideas, I will post the results one day. These mods aren't the most exciting but the main upgrades have already been done !

I'm always addicted don't worry My maxx is almost fixed, I just need an UE shock standoff.

What's new ? :

- Ejector pins :


I use Berger Tools pins now, this supplier can cut them to the length I need (3.06") and they are sturdier than the Plastixs pins I used before (I can't cut them with a bolt cutter !).
The ejector pins can't move thanks to the bumper mounts and skidplate. "Plug and play" :)

Front

I can't replace the front lower hinge pins because of the shape of my skidplate. I keep using Lunsford hinge pins here.

Rear





- Chassis braces : I replaced the bent chassis brace with a new one and 1offrc anodized it (fast and great job).




- Body posts : new ones from RC Raven :


With HPI body clips (really hard to bend !). RC Raven nylon seems similar to RPM nylon so I hope these posts will hold out. UE posts included with the shock towers aren't a direct fit (they have to be cut/drilled, boring... ).

- Body protection : I cut pieces of lexan from a Parma clear lexan sheet (.030") to protect the body (clips always destroy the body holes during hard landings ).








Now I need time to test these mods. Last time I run my maxx was in September, 2011...

POPOX: I'm not sure which bellcrank posts you used, but I suggest you order a set from the UE Store...they are 7075-T6 Aluminum instead of the 6061-T6 that Traxxas uses, and are far stronger! They are the ones used in the UE Gen4 Servo-Saver, but will work in any Maxx Steering System!

Sorry it took so long to reply...a drunk driver hit me a couple months ago, re-injuring my already broken back, putting me in the hospital for a while.
