The great thing about Mike is he is a Hobbiest in this field too.
He has been around and knows what will work or not.
Looks like some great mounts.
May have to look into some of these for a project.

Peace!

How Big Pinions can fit? - 02.07.2012, 06:38 PM

I read this entire thread, and no-one failed to mention how big of pinions can you fit in this mount. I was told you can now only fit a 22 pinion max with a 43 spur, I dunno the truth of that, just what I heard. I don't bash, I run top-speed only and need a mount that will fit a 30 pinion, or larger. yes his old one was a pain, but it was perfect for that kind of stuff. I thought we all ran Mikes mounts cause we can gear the crap out of our cars and this was the mount to do it in. If we can't do that anymore then what was the point of such a great mount. No disrespect ofcourse, but if we can't gear up, then the speed guys are in trouble in my opinion. What mounts do we run to fit large pinions. Atleast in my Losi 8 and my new DM-1. PLZ correct me if I'm wrong, and thanks again......Oh, one last thing, how big of a motor can you fit in here, can a Castle 1717 still work here, Ty.......
