Talking OK then! - 12.09.2007, 09:53 PM

Forget everything I said above about all the new setups I was going to use. I have come to a conclusion.

MGM 16024 on 6s LiPo running a _________. Any guesses?

I'll give you some clues: I just bought it on eBay not 10 minutes ago, it cost $89 shipped, and this is the last time I'll change my mind - period.

That is going to be beyond ridiculous. I thought my 8l on 4s in a rustler was ridiculous.

I don't know but I'm sure it's going to be fast. Nice work swapping the motor to the inside. I don't understand why they don't make them like that to start with.

Thanks. I agree on that last part - they should be made with the motor inward. First off, its more protected than it is hanging out the back end. Secondly, mid-engine cars handle like they're on rails. It works for R/C, too.

FYI - There is a link to the motor I bought in that post somewhere.........................

Yes, you win. Unfortunately I've run out of prizes.

I couldn't pass it up. Such a good price for that motor! Plus I saw a vid of a Revo with that motor and it sounds soooooo awesome! I like the internal fan, too. It should stay fairly cool.

Haha

Have a link to that vid? I run the orion vortex series motors in my touring cars, and they have the internal fans, and they sound really sweet also

Well I was gonna order a 1515/2Y or a 1950/11 for 8s LiPo. THAT would have been nuts. Plus, I didn't want to wait for myself to have $300 to spend on either of those.

Well it's like I've said before. Always leave room to upgrade!

I'll tell you what this motor will do --- Mostly donuts until I get used to driving it!
