As awesome as the RPM arms are I think they and CVD's don't mix, the arms have a ton of Flex.
Example: I run a asphault Slash oval class with Latemodel bodys and foam tires, I had to ditch the RPM arms because I was eating up tires due to the high traction flex. Went back to stockers and tire prob was solved.
Don't be surprised after your first real crash the axle looks like bananna, hope I'm wrong ?
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

The stock shafts hold up pretty okay to the stock VXL system. I see no real need for the cvd's, unless you are going bigger power system.
My other 4x4 has the mmm 2650 and the stock driveline is starting to show signs of wear. Eventually I think I will switch over to revo shafts or something along those lines. Cheaper, and I wouldn't be too angry if they break, unlike those who have had tekno's and mip's break already.
I haven't yet broken any stock a arms, but once that happens I will most likely go to RPM.
As for the motor mount Mike has the FLM version in stock.

thats good to know, i ordered the cvd,s because i havent ever had a traxxas slider last me very long so it was a longjevity and stress part for me, i did find the KH mount late last night and ordered one, i went with KH over fastlane because i have alot of KH parts on my 1/8s and they are top notch, i plan on useing the fast lane center diff case but i wount be ordering that for a week or so, as for tekno's brakeing i havent herd of one and i am on alot of forums but i also know that tekno has great customer service so im not worried. im sure i will end up useing a 1509 or 1512 latter and i know im planning alot of speed runs as well as some track time. so this is going to be an all around build for me and it will hopefully keep me from takeing my carbon 8ight out bashing

Well I had an anti clamatic break yesterday. I was launching the Slash off a home made ramp for probably 20 minutes straight. I got it upwards of 20 feet skyward, nothing broken. So thinking the LVC was coming up, I decided to take a few WOT runs, then just as I was going to call it a day, thinking the LVC was just around the bend. It flipped into a barrel roll on a hard brake/turn and the right rear carrier broke. I felt so ashamed. Nothing broke all that time while air bound, nothing at all when it noise dived into the ground or flipped frontward, backward, and sideways. The achelles was that damn last little flip at braking speed onto its lid. What nonsense.
J/K :) it was a long and meaningful bash, would of made Nick proud. RPM carriers here I come.

I just completely FLMed my DT on my slash 4x4 equipped with a MMM and 2650 on 4s, FLM motor mount kit with diff and alu diff cups all the way out to the axles also.
Other than straight torquing the heads off the FLM axles and then also experiencing axle contact on the front carriers that leads to retainer & pin loss everything held up great after grinding a lil aluminum off the front carriers.
Hope FLM has something beefier planned for the axle heads on there part # FLM-25515
If not I may be calling daily for replacements.
Only got 1 full run in and it was in a flat grassy field haven't even really begun to bash it.

Mine isn't too healthy, this is after a weekend of bashing.
I blew 2x VXLs and my MMM ESC! :(
The damage also done was:
Rear shocktower
Rear diffcasing
Rear RPM arm (bent, not snapped)
2x Center Driveshaft split
Rear RPM Bumper
LOTS of driveshafts, lol
But that's what you get when you try jumping ponds and vert ramps, lol.
