Good Thread -
10.29.2007, 05:29 PM
I am glad that I am not the only one who sees that there is a problem here. If someone does not speak out for us, then nothing will change. I have no regrets, and I am hopeful that the effort may change something for the good. Regardless weather you run a corperation or a Mom & Pop business if you don't treat your costomers with some level of respect then you will not succeed. Word of mouth will kill any chance for reaching out to anyone else. How can you sell anything if what you are doing on the surface is a secret? and you have nothing on your shelves to sell? Whatever the result I have to try something. I cannot sit around reading anymore threads about how disapointed our RC people are about UE low stocks. It is just not neccasary.

Check Stocks. -
11.01.2007, 06:59 PM
Hey has anyone noticed the stock levels on UE this week? I do think that some of the items are starting to show YES in stock that have been empty for a while. So maybe this is a sign that things are changing? Maybe in time there will be more items available as well, including items that you want or need? I have exchanged a few personal emails with UE on the matter, and of course with some resistance as expected. I do understand the existance of some level of security with plans for ones company, but on-line stocks should not have been one of them. We can only hope that things will get better because UE respects the needs and buying power of it's costomers. I am hopefull that this is a view of better things to come. Have a great day fellas, and good luck with your UE projects.

I noticed the apparent stock change earlier and was getting ready to buy some things and now the site is down??. He's been hacked at least once, but hope that hasn't happened again. The last time MM was clever enough to figure out who did it and went after them.
Maybe they are making some changes to the site? I sure hope it comes back up, I'm right in the middle of shimming a set of 8 spyder diffs for the VBS I was lucky enough to score.
I watched thru the day (can't order from work PC, thanks to IT) and things changed more than once. First there was a lot of yes's started showing up with stuff like the chassis, vbs listed as no. Then later, stuff with the no for stock status was no longer shown, so I hope they are still making changes.

Hello again everyone. Well I had not seen any of the problems on UE just yet. I don't know anything about that, but I hope the changes that I saw before hand were valid and that things are getting better. I do know that Robin seems to be a pretty savvy business man with good resorces and keen computer skills. I am sure that they will work out whatever the issues might be and get things back on track very soon. Plus there are plenty of people on the UE site that can help with this kind of problem. I am not sure of what the cause for the changes might be, but like I have said in previous threads it is up to us to let UE know if we are having problems acquring the products that we want or need. Sometimes this may take a group effort so we should keep things up to date and informed on sites like this one. We only have to make sure that we do it in a way that will maintain a chanel of respect and dignity. After talking with Robin a few times I know he does care about our RC needs, but like any business man he needs feedback from all of us to keep him focused. Think about it. We all need positive feedback from time to time in order to keep us moving in the right direction. So keep this in mind even if things do get better on UE we still need to let them know that we appreciated what they do for us. Face it UE produces the best MAXX gear on the planet and we need them to keep our trucks in the best shape possible. So lets all keep an eye on the situation and work together to keep our world in motion.

The UE site seems fine this morning, but the site was still offline when I went to bed at 11:00pm. Reading over there, the only thing that seems to have changed is they've made an effort to update the site to accurately reflect what they do have in stock. I don't think there is anything more to it than that, at least not right now.
I was able to order some stuff this am - at least it appears I ordered some stuff. The 8mm cvds (no drive cups) which were in stock yesterday now show to be out of stock, so there was either a run on them or there were a very few available. I don't see that as a sign that there has been a general re-stocking of parts as much as I wish otherwise.

possibly. -

That is very possible as well. Of course when I saw that there had been some changes I bet a lot of people took advantage of the oppertunity and ordered items right away to beat the mad rush. I know that two to three days ago there had been a noticable upswing for items in stock. That seems to have changed a bit this morning. Still if we keep hitting UE with questions about the stocks they may get tired of reading the negative questioning and move forward to making more products just to shut us up. I know that both Robin and Sam read the emails on a daily basis to keep up on what is going on. All we can do is keep after them.

I lost most of my ue stuff for this reason. I went with stuff that I can get to replace.
Just so happens cheaper as well.
Peace!

Freedom -
11.02.2007, 10:45 AM
Thats what American freedom is all about. Some people drive mustangs, some corvettes, and then even some who drive VW bugs. Everyone has their own choices about what products they wish to spend their hard earned money on. Some can even afford to try out many different models because our system allows for that kind of selfishness. So pick your poison and enjoy the ride no matter which model you drive. Having several companies providing us with "Hop-ups" is what makes playing with these toys so versitile in the first place. It all depends on what your interpritation of fun is. Don't be a hater, just have fun with whatever you can afford and are able to find out there.

I placed an order last Fri very early in the am and was concerned when I did not get an email confirmation. I was afraid this recent change in the amount of stock was too good to be true, but this am I rec'd the email confirming my 8mm cvds, hinge pins and steel 51t spur and etc had been shipped!
Guess UE had some orders to deal with, I know I'm getting ready to do another one!

Seems So. -
11.05.2007, 03:18 PM
I to have placed two seperate orders with UE for SuperMaxx parts, and they were shipped within 24 hours of placing the orders. I do believe that this is a response to the inquiries that we have all made to UE within the last two weeks as to why the stocks have been so low for so long. UE just needed to know that we as a group are still out here and that we really needed them to step up so we could continue our ventures in building one of the most celebrated RC vehicles in the business. I know that I may have hit Robin in a way that did not make him too happy with me, but the points that were made were hard to argue. Business is business, and with the numbers of RC enthusiests that I have seen desperate for UE parts add up to a lot of money, not to mention a good number of dedicated customers who really like what UE has to offer in the way of quality SuperMaxx parts.
Bottom line is that we can only hope that this change in stock is an improvement that will continue to grow and that UE will get back to business as usual. In the last three years I have only just begun to experience what they have to offer with the Lightning SuperMaxx setup. So I still have much to learn, and look forward to doing so. Just make sure that we all let UE know how much we appreciate their support. Especially when you receive the toys you order from them, and you get to play with them for the first time. They need to know.

Well how about he makes a new suspension and bulkheads for the supermaxx that would make it a 100% truggy?
It'll cost an arm and a leg, I know.
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!
