Kind of interesting MMM hold down.

Check this out, it holds the thing together along with the switch, and doesn't obstruct the fan, and provides a simple, clean solution.

It does look like a good hold down, and I need 2. Who is going to break into traxxas r/d and steal 2 for me?

DRIFT_BUGGY 10.20.2008 01:39 AM

Im sure they will sell plenty of them

i could use one too, but zipties work for the moment

MTBikerTim 10.20.2008 07:04 AM

There is nothing for it to screw too on my brushless savage. I think it needs a filter though. I couldn't beleive the amount of stuff that came out of my MMM when I very gently blew some compressed air into mine.

brushlessboy16 10.20.2008 07:05 AM

i always get grass stuck in the Heatsink..

BrianG 10.20.2008 10:14 AM

I can see more of those hold downs being sold than the BL Revos! They look nice.

bustitup 10.20.2008 10:51 AM

put me down for a couple.....in all honesty it looks like something that should be included with any mmm purchase...that and a automatic fire extinguisher device:tongue:

DRIFT_BUGGY 10.20.2008 06:45 PM

Might look at putting some insect/fly screen top of the mount to stop the grass/debris getting in

I was thinking along the same lines. If the MMM goes up, you won't be able to remove it by yanking it off. It will take your chassis and who knows what else down with it. I like the idea but I think they should ditch the hex screw in favor of a snap together joint, something similar to the Molex clip.

BL_RV0 10.20.2008 09:23 PM

That'd be nice.

Snipin_Willy 10.20.2008 11:10 PM

I wonder how many people are going to complain about MMM in their new brushless e-revos. I'm waiting for the "all clear" on the MMM bugs to do my buggy project.

rootar 10.20.2008 11:23 PM

yea i hope they wont release ANY of the brushless edition revos untill they are positive that they have all the problems sorted out, no one is gonna blame them for taking anymore time, and im sure traxxas wouldnt mind either.

hey snipin_willy sending ya a pm.
