Summit can race? wow thats new! looks like you guys had a blast :)

93firebird 08.02.2009 08:51 AM

3rd out of three is not that good. Also tell your friend its not polite to run over your competitors simply because you have a bigger truck. :) j/k

shaunjohnson 08.02.2009 05:40 PM

who cares if there were only 3 cars in the electric dev that day...it's still on the podium LOL!

from the picture on the podium the summit looks like it spent more time on its lid than on its wheels with so much mud covering it

probably did:lol: i would love to race the summit tho! looks like it would be fun with those tires and that much body roll!

shaunjohnson 08.03.2009 05:38 AM

we didnt expect it to place so we went bashing after the final in the nearest mud hole:yipi:

and umm...we kinda wore out the tyres on it :surprised:
no not the main tread...THE SIDEWALLS!! the sidewall lean wore out the thin rubber in that location so not it has many holes in the sidewalls:whistle:
so IF it has to be raced again it's getting talons (yuck)

BTW!!
if you own a summit, switch the T-lock servo's around, so when you lock only one diff...you lock the rear diff rather than the front. this way you get better turning AND you can drift and do doughnuts:rofl:!!!

:smile:But what a hoot to drive, haven't had that much fun since i stared RC driving.:party:Knew, i couldn't win and never considered running a place... so just went out to have fun:lol:... and after the main.. gave Shaun strict instructions "... get it muddy.." and he did:gasp:

Dingman 09.28.2009 10:01 PM

Methinks you are a good driver.

I also have much fun with the Summit, it satisfysies me needs when we can'ts get the 1:1 rig out.

WE LIKES THE MUD

Flip 09.29.2009 03:39 AM

Well good ol' reliable:gasp: Summit... still using original Titan ( looked after it real well ) has now been running on water, under water, in mud, and on snow! It's been on the beach, and through running streams... rock and boulder climbing... hmmm  Needs new challenge...

shaunjohnson 09.29.2009 04:12 AM

and it got pimped out with some proline big joes
