todays race meet
since both my MMM and phils MMM blew last meet and they are in for repair we had to race our backup RC's. ive got a nitro RC8 and phil has...well...pretty self explanitary





yeah that is a summit
and yes it did get 3rd

from the picture on the podium the summit looks like it spent more time on its lid than on its wheels with so much mud covering it

we didnt expect it to place so we went bashing after the final in the nearest mud hole

and umm...we kinda wore out the tyres on it
no not the main tread...THE SIDEWALLS!! the sidewall lean wore out the thin rubber in that location so not it has many holes in the sidewalls
so IF it has to be raced again it's getting talons (yuck)

BTW!!
if you own a summit, switch the T-lock servo's around, so when you lock only one diff...you lock the rear diff rather than the front. this way you get better turning AND you can drift and do doughnuts!!!

But what a hoot to drive, haven't had that much fun since i stared RC driving.Knew, i couldn't win and never considered running a place... so just went out to have fun... and after the main.. gave Shaun strict instructions "... get it muddy.." and he did

Well good ol' reliable Summit... still using original Titan ( looked after it real well ) has now been running on water, under water, in mud, and on snow! It's been on the beach, and through running streams... rock and boulder climbing... hmmm Needs new challenge...
