I just have a 12V fan wired straight to all 5 lipo cells and its not blown yet standard size PC fan (with blue LED's) so it fits over motor and ESC cooling both really well

yes i ran my 8XL on 16 cells i didnt have an 18 but 20 it over heated (when racing) 16 was good but a little under geard so 18 may be perfect

i used them cheap CVD's for a year with a 9L which is simlar speed to the HV maybe abit more and they held up fine but when i put my 8XL in they soon started to go
