0 timing is not a good idea I suggest u gear down. Or change the motor. Kd motor is 2pole. 4pole is better.

Esc seldom overheats unless fan spoil.

I have left most of the ESC settings on default, except setting the Timing to 0° and the Punch to 50%, but I have heard running 0° of timing is actually a bad thing...is this true? Default is 15°, but since the KD motors are known to run warm, I set the timing to 0° in order to keep it cool. I have never had any overheating issues, but would just like your input on the timing, and anything else you would like to add.
