I was always interested in the 18th scale RC, but the Mini was too weak, the 18 was just too small for my taste. Then, Kyosho came out with the Half 8 mini-inferno buggy, followed by Losi's Mini LST, and then the Half 8 ST mini truggy. But these are still too weak for the stuff I do and they don't run 540 size motors. I had an extra TC3 laying around that I wasn't using and made my own 1/16 scale truggy.
Slightly larger than the RC18, more agile, beefier, and runs a 540 so I have much more motor options.
The best part was, this was a fairly inexpensive project. All I had to buy was a TC4 FT motor plate, a Proline crowd pleazer body, Proline speed 10 wheels, duratrax vendetta wing, duratrax mini quake tires and a few other things.
