Testing Hobbywing's eZRun with my 4 pole motor -
10.25.2008, 10:13 AM
I'm posting this here, because there's no micro section. I went to the track on Thursday to test my 4 pole motor in my Recoil. Man, I'm very pleased. It's a perfect match for the Hobbywing's eZRun 35A esc. The motors will be available in 6000, 7500 and 9000Kv. I also ran my RC18R with a nice Exotek chassis and Hobbywing's eZRun 18A/5200Kv motor system. Here are the videos and pics:
That is the same ESC im running in a Traxxas Bandit with Trinity Brushless 13.5T and 2S Lipo. It has never gone over 95F. Excellent ESC, espeically for the price
Little update. As most of you know, I'm having a micro ESC being made. The prototype is done. I will test it soon as I'm waiting for other products to be made. The production unit will have a thinner heat sink and it will have a capacitor bank with 2 caps (I attached a picture of the cap bank that will go on the 100A and 200A units). Here are some pictures of the soon to be 40A micro ESC:
Very nice...In the Spring I am going to upgrade the Mamba system in my 18B from the 5400 system I have now to something is the 9000kv range. I look forward to your future posts.

Just a little update here. I had the factory do a 2 small cap bank instead of the sigle cap and as soon as the 40A arrives, I'll begin testing it. Here is the latest picture:
I saw a real brushless motor on your brushless controller. :) Actually it's a complete brushless system include controller, motor and load(the fan).... ^_^

My micro brushless ESC is not out yet. They were made to actually compete against the Hobbywing 35A. I'm going to offer them along with my own 4 pole motors which will have various Kv ratings and sizes.
PM me with prices for the motor/esc combo when they are available. I think I need at least two sets..
No price yet. I will test them to their max to see if they will be the right combination. It maight take a some time before I even ask the factory for prices.
