Radio question.... DSSS?! - 07.16.2009, 04:40 PM

Hey guys, I have a nomadio react radio and rx and was looking for a cheaper alternative to nomadio/spektrum RXs. On this page:
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...re-Transceiver it says the nomadio uses FHDSS and DSSS. These RXs http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...&ParentCat=190 use DSSS also. Would it be possible to use one of them on the react tx? Thanks!

It my understanding it will work with spectrum rx's but you need to change it to 50 herts or somthing like that.

Honestly, I don't think you will find another option, unless you can find something that is compatible with Spektrum DSM-1 (not likely). The React was designed to work specifically with Spektrum (hence the whole DSSS beta thing).

You can find the Spektrum SR3000 for around $40 used.

I've been looking with no luck. Everyone seems to be asking around $55.

Nomadio doesn't do much RC stuff anymore, and they never made an "official" release of the Spektrum software.

I think they are a rebadged SR300, but yeah I agree they aren't poor quality or anything. Just as good as an official Spektrum.
