There are better, less expensive packs, but those are great packs.

I just picked up the Peak version today. They're the same packs with a CG sticker. I have a Quark still in the box too. They're for a G-Maxx, but will eventually be transferred to a G2R. Which motor should I order? Or is that a Pre Sales question?

What is your plan with the truck for the motor?
You goingto run 2 orion packs for 4s lipo I assume.
Not sure what quark you have either. Is it bashing racing or both.

Peace!

If you are looking for a 2s lipo pack with decent capacity and discharge rating in a plastic case that is just about exactly the same size as a 6-cell nimh stick pack, then the Orion/Peak lipos aren't just a great choice, they're your only choice.
Noone else makes a lipo pack that fits those requirements.

If you do NOT require the plastic case AND do not require the dimensions to match a 6-cell nimh stick pack, then there are quite a few choices that are the same or better than the Orion/Peak lipos, at (generally) lower prices. Those include the Apache and MaxAmps packs for sale here at RC-Monster.

You need a low voltage cutoff (lvc) to make sure that you don't run the batts to low when they dump. Unless you can program your ESC for the cut off.

My brushless maxx in the hands of my 6yr old son is... bad. My brushless maxx in my hands... even worse!!!!

The HV doesn't have one built in, so a external is your only choice.
