7020 and 9L? - 04.28.2006, 04:29 AM

My cousin is looking to get into the brushless scene, since seeing mine in action :018:

Anyway..I have a spare 9L that I can give/sell him..so all he needs now is an ESC. He wants to keep the cost down for drivetrain, etc upgrades. With that in mind, would the 7020 be able to handle the amp draw of the 9L on 14 cells?

Would the gearing need to be changed? On my 9918/9L combo, I run anything between a 16-18/70 and works fine (gets kinda hot, but typical of the 9L)..so just wondering if he'd have to run a different gearing from me...

Thanks guys!
