RC8 Buggy Build - 09.25.2008, 07:15 PM

I'm about to start a RC8 buggy build and need some ideas for batteries. I know i want to use Flightpowers and the must fit in a RCPD mudguard/battery tray (i already ordered it). I want to go hv and have has many mah as possible without lifting the body any. Can ya'll please post some flightpowers that will work? But if 4s is all that will fit properly, post that also.

The dimensions are 48.5mm wide x 170mm long. Micke_b on the forum has a RC8 on 6s Maxamps 4000mah with this tray, the height of his packs r 38mm.

I saw your buggy build that u used mike's tray, are u still use it. Thanks for the info, but i will be using the RCPD one which is about the same dimension as mikes, but i don't know if it is as easy to shave down as mike's.

If you want HV, try the Impulse lipos. I have a 3s 3200mah pack and it's lower profile than a 6c pack.

I'm assuming you want 8s? Higher?

To me, for hight restrictions the Impulse packs have the skinniest cells available.

Not for 5s. I think a 1512 in the ~1800kv range or a Medusa 36-60-1600 would be good.
