So a couple weeks back i picked up a traxxas slash, bone stock, and i ahve been reading and reading about how people are spending 50 and 60 dollars on cvd's that break and twist and i get thinking- So a week or 2 back i was at my local track and they were getting rid of all of there old- very old stocks in the "1 dollar box" i found a New in package set of MIP CVD's for a traxxas trx-3, precursor to the rustler xl-1, then xl5, then vxl, then slash. they have been sitting in my toolbox until earlier today where I had a "what the hell, why not moment" and wanted to see if they would work with my slash.. Perfect fit. even the shimming for the trx-3 was spot on to that of the slash. I found it funny that they have made it almost 20 years on the same basic design with minor changed..
I think its time for traxxas to design a completely new car.... one that doesnt use parts in which the thread lock has solidified into a brick...
