Just ordered a e-maxx bl ed ! - 03.28.2011, 02:55 PM

Hi !

I,ve jst paced an order of a e-maxx bl edition
And i wounder if the stock driveline can andle 4s lipo with the mmm 2200kv combo?

And are there any must have upgrades ?

The driveline is pretty solid really, the driveshafts take a while to wear out unless you constantly mash the throttle & try to do lots of wheelies/ backflips.

Otherwise, diffs are the next weakest link- easily fixed with some FLM hybrids, UE Ultralites or some modified LST2 diffs.

Hotracing & RobinsonRacing make upgraded slipper clutch units too, though the stock one is fine if you keep it fairly tight, but consider some of the metal slipper pads:

though Im not sure if those come as stock or the graphite? pads do still...

I,m going to dip the circutboard in the mmm esc. In thin epoxy to fully waterproof it :)

If i am correct, It has a conformal coating from the factory. Use in water is unwarranted regardless

Putting anything on the PCB to waterproof it is also a warrenty void, but anyways..

Yes i know that it's a warranty void to dip the pcb in epoxy, but if i'dont it will fry when bashing in water and snow.

and if it stops working i can always buy another ! :)

I recomend getting at least a rear RPM shock tower. Stock ones have never held up for more than a couple runs for me
