Help me choose motor?? - 01.16.2007, 09:26 PM

Hey guys I am looking for some help and am not sure what motor to get. I just bought 2 of these Kokam 4800mAh 3S1P LiPo Battery packs. I plan on putting both of these in my Gorrila Maxx Revo 3.3 along with my Quark 125 controller. I am not real sure what motor can handle this. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!! #12

How much do you want to spend? On 6S lipo I would run a 9xl or 10xl.

If you want to spend more a lehner 1950/8T or neu 1515 2.5D would be a good motor choice.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Quark is fine on 5s, on 6s it is going to act funny, i forgot to mention that, #12. Id reccomend 5s for the quark 125B.

Stop with all the slang already!

#12 - If you havent already ordered the lipos, use 5s, or a different controller!

You didnt have to post all that info ; couldve just read it off tower.

That is a good esc, but it cant be used without a mechanical brake (in nitro conversions this esc would be acceptable). Otherwise it is of no use in our electric r/c's.

the one you mentioned has trouble with neutral with anything other than a plane transmitter. the best for the job is the MGM 16024 http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...MM160243sHCS01
BK 9920 can handle 6s as wellhttp://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...od=9920warrior

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
