Granted this is with 55turn motors, but this is a post from rccrawler:

Im gonna look for a lathe motor and a 9 cell pack...

The 55t lathe motors on the other hand, would not be able to handle 9 cells when stalled forever

i'm more into 540 to 600 size motor's for my twin force.
doesnt have to be fast, stock speed is really enuff for me.
i'm interested in motor's that could do center diff drive.
gearing with diff in the center would be 15/1 or so.

Well 355-number was for plett. and it is big, almost as big as truck itself :)

As for 540-600 johnson-mabuchi type motors then 55-turn or sensored BL would be the right choice.

MambaMax BEC 5V and probably 5A rated but heatsink limited to no more then 2A @ 2s LiPo

8.4V - 5V = 3.4V
3.4V * 2A = 6.8W of heat dump from BEC alone (continious duty)

Artur

P.S. I am a little bit confused, you want crawler?
Check at megamotors in brushed section.

no not crawler.
want slow basher.
30/40 kmh
dont break stuff like that.
and may make really tight track someday.
also want direct drive in the future.
43/10 diff and center diff 46t.
with 13t pinion that would make 15.21/1.
need motors that can handle that.
thanks for your help.
mike.

do you want it to be able to crawl?
i dont really.
i'm kinda thinking rwd now. save some weight and more fun.
if its not overpowered it might make nice controllable slides that way.
