You could try spraying them with motor cleaner (specific r/c motor stuff that is). If they are rebuildable, you could dismantle them, skim the comm so its nice and shinny like new, and replace the brushes.

For $5 you could get new 550 brushed motors though, just depends what your specifc project/needs are?
