Several Castle Creations customers received a surprise gift accompanied by this letter recently - a tribute to one very special employee.

Enclosed you will find the Thunderbird 36 controller that you ordered from castlecreations.com. Please be advised that your credit card was NOT charged for this controller and you are receiving it free of charge.
On July 7, Castle Creations employee, Mendi Lavender, was killed in a car accident. It is in her memory that you are receiving this controller free of charge. Mendi was a strong believer in the "pay it forward" mentality, and at her family's request, the last five controllers that Mendi assembled were sent as gifts at no charge. "Paying it forward" refers to repaying the good deeds done for you by doing good things for other people.
Mendi had beeen with Castle Creations since 2004, and she was the lead production assembler. She was dedicated and energetic about her work in ways that can never be duplicated. It is our hope that you will be thrilled with your new controller and happy that it is a gift to you. Please pay it forward
