It will leave the 3.3 in its dust.
It has unreal take off speed.
I have got the tranny locked into second gear. ( first gear has now been removed)
I am runing a 54T Spur gear and a 33T pinion gear.

The only issue is that if you are at say 3/4 throttle then give it full throttle it will just filp over.
It may be a tad overkill but it is a real fun truck to drive plus it teaches you more about throttle controll.

What kinda battery / ESC setup are you using? with a 1d and it doesnt look like your using much more than 3S... you'd be pulling close to like 200 + amps right?
