I agree. They seem kinda silly to me. But, if I were to get them I would probably go with the $6 Maximizer CRT.5 skids. They are plastic and probably lighter than the aluminum skids and look like they at least have a beveled front egde to reduce the amount of ground they catch.

Still though, they dont really seem necessary to me. Even for bashing... Who cares if you get a few scrapes on the bottom of the chassis. Thats what its for.
