1515/1y on 5s or 6s ?

I last question when buying lipos does freshness of the pack matter alot, like if i buy a flightpower pack from tower? Hummm 6s sounds like fun... if geared for speed like above will it have plenty of power at slower speeds?

These motors have plenty of power at lower speeds no matter how you gear it, honestly! In fact, I seem to bring out the devil in my 1512 Neu when I gear it up (to a point).
