Yes, the extra material will help the motor with heat issues. The bad thing about the 45mm cans is that they won't fit my MBX5T. I'm afraid to try them in my BPP and the extra weight of the truck will probably be too much for the 1/8" shaft.

Can you post some pictures of the two ends of the motor? I would like to know how the endplates are bolted on.

Assuming they are true clones, then the front is bolted on with 5 screws:



and 3 screws on the rear, spaced equally around the edge.
