On the back of gun I’ve a star that I thought controls the amount of air ?? if not what does it do ??

What the hell is this and do I need it ??

this star controls air for the bolt that is inside the gun (the bolt moves back and forth shooting the ball out) it does not control how much air goes into the solenoid hoses. if you mess with the knob it will cause the ball to drop extremely back and probably will make you chop. id keep it at stock settings. if you want to adjust how fast the balls go then you need to adjust your regulator.

heres a quick explanation.... star is what makes the gun consisten.
reg is what tells how fast to let the ball go

basically what this does is it allows you to put the tank in your pocket. its for people who go in the desert and want to be all sneaky.

So if I go back to the setup I’ll be fine because the regulator in the handle right ??
correct. you just need this reg and it will be good.

Can I still extend the small black hose like 10” ????
should not matter if the hose is extended. you may lose some accuracy consistency or fps but im sure you really dont care about that
Thanks a buch..
glad i can finally help
