I am wondering if MGM ESC's would be more reliable than MMM. I have three MMM V2 sitting at Castle right now waiting for replacement after about 1 hour use on each unit and now Im wondering if I should try something else.

Money aside, with CC at least if my MMM goes out I may have to wait a month or two or more, but ultimately they replace. With MGM, I am hearing that it is not as easy since they are out of the country. I am very tempted to try MGM.

I will give my replacement MMM another shot when they arrive, if I have any more problems with them I think I will be giving up. I dont think its my setup because I am using NEU 1515 1.5d and NEU 1512 2.5d on my Losi 8ight Truggy and Buggy respectively. They are powered by NEU 4s 5000mah 25c Lipos. Temperatures for batteries are around 120's, motors are 140's, and ESC's are 130's. All 10 guage wiring througout.

Like I said if I still have problems with v3, I will be giving up on MMM. I may want to try out Losi's Xcelerion System, or maybe just try out the MGM ESC. Lets all keep our fingers cross.

I'm running my 8 E-T with a Neu 1515-1Y and Thunder Power 4S 5000mah Extreme V.2 batteries via an MGM 16025-3 Z series esc and so it's been faultless other than a slight delay in initial throttle response. I'm running the Tekno set up and I shall try running without the clutch spring to see if the delay is mechanical, which I think it is, or if I need to adjust the esc settings.
The MGM is expensive compared to the MMM, and it's commendable that so many on here are so patriotic to an American company. I just decided it was worth the extra to have a truggy that was up and running reliably rather than sit and look at something waiting on the next promise on delivery and reliability.
I hope whatever you do you get sorted and are soon back out there having fun.

Losi 8T RR - Novarossi Plus 21-5BT/ Jammin JP3 - Teknorc 8T - Neu 1515-1Y - MGM 16025-3 Z Series ESC.

I heard that the delay is due to the spring in the clutch. Tekno said you can run without spring for more punch. But, the delay to me seem neglegible since the spring on the shoes are suppose to lessen the load put on the motor, and I want the reliability. Like I said one more chance for MMM. I think I have been very patient!

well...
now that I bought the MMM (preorder) $170
It burnt out two servos $40
I bought the MM as a back up $120
Along with a UBEC $25
and a fan $10

I feel I spent close to what I would have if I had gone MGM

my only saving grace is that I know Castle has my back. MGM seems to replace most, but they seem to be a bit more picky with their replacement policy.

With all the time my truck has been sitting here collecting dust with over $2K invested.....I'm thinking I should have gone with the TMM 25035-3 Car / Boat E-SERIES. Good for upto 8s 250-300A. I only run 6s, so it should handle my set-up with ease.

I used a "bottom" line.

I know people will say "Ah yeah but you don't see MGM on here answering questions" but I think that's due to being a european company their market is not big enough in the States to warrant a seperate section on these kind of forums.
Personally I've heard a lot of good things about their customer service and they've always replied within a day to any questions I've had and been very polite on the phone. I think you'll find european companies in general are less tolerant of any claims where there are any signs of operator abuse but will look after you if there's clearly an issue with the product.
I just hope that all the trust faith shown on here in CC isn't misplaced and it all comes good in the end, I'm sure it will, I'm just too impatient to wait!

I've only had them a few weeks but so far very pleased, only time will tell if they're worth the extra over the budget cells on the market.
