Maybe he meant it doesn't use a clutch? I don't see a slipper either...

looks like a simple and effective way to convert a savage to me, I hope it fits in my extended lcg fastlane nitro chasis

I don't care if direct drive is "technically" correct or not. I'm just glad that someone is actually making brushless specific Savage drive train parts. It seems that Traxxas gets the majority of the attention.
