I'm doubting it will fit well in the RC8, but I'm sure it could be made to fit. There are two things to keep in mind.

1. The motor mount on the RC8 is set much farther back on the chassis than in the 8ight. So the esc mount section on the 8ight tray will not fit on the rc8. You will have to cut it off.

2. The 8ight has the driveline set off to the right side of the chassis, and the rc8 is centered. So, the battery will be farther off the side of the chassis on the rc8 than on the 8ight.

Personally, I'd just get the RC-Monster battery tray or even better get the complete RC-Monster RC8 conversion kit.
