You have it on the wiring - Just black and red on servos to bec outputs - If you use the esc bec and all drive off if one battery no need to link the grounds.

I was having issues as initially as using 2 batteries...

I'm using the DX6 for flight sim at the moment... I'll try it again in the future probably as you do really need it for the clod...

Yep, I'm gonna use a single MM, with a piar of 550s in parallel. I can mix the 3rd channel with the steering and have selectable rear steer that is proportinal with the front.

I will only run 1 lipo, most likely a 4200 3s pack (seems like all of my crawler use the maxamps 2100 cells). So running a single ccbec should be ok. I will wire the servos directly to it and use the mm internal bec to power the rx.
