I ended up winning a Mugen MBX5T on e-bay.

Thanks for the input guys.

I guess now it's time to sell off the MGT and related stuff... and start planning the build itself.

I'm going to need:
-wheels/tires: It's a basher so I'm leaning toward Maximizers and Badlands
-battery: Flightmax 5s 5000mah 25 probably
-motor: I'm thinking either Medusa or Castle/neu
-ESC: MMMv3 Sounds like the crowd favorite but I've been really happy with the EZRUN controllers that I already own... this is going to be a hard decision for me.
-Steering servo: No idea yet.
-Some custom mounts and whatnot; motor mount, esc mount, battery tray etc.

I'm also not sure which KV motor I should run and with what gearing. I'm trying to work that out now...

Edit: BTW Finn, I love that CRT.5. It looks like a blast.

as far as a steering servo my vote is for the Hitech 7955mg its the improved version of the 5955 (333oz in ) mike sells them for about $115 I have a 5955 which I am happy with in a Revo
