It also depends on your track configuration. I race on a small tigh track, only one straightaway worth full throttle. I chose 3s in order to shed some weight. It does get a little hot towards the end of the race but she's ok. And all we run are 10 minute mains.

Now if my track was a little bigger, I would definitely spring for the 4s setup. This setup would be more efficient if geared for the same 42mph(12/48 in my setup). This would still provide great speeds but also longer runtimes.

What packs are you running?

Ah, but thats going in my Jammin Truggy on 4-5s.

pumpkinfish: I timed my practiced yesterday. I ran 16/48 with the MMM2650 in my Jammin X1 buggy on 3s 4900 Rhino 20C packs. Continuous track running yielded right under 13 minutes before the LVC on the MMM hit. I'll try to get a video soon. I have plenty enough top speed for my track. I'm looking into dropping down the pinion to either a 14T or 15T. That should yield more run time as well.
