How about a Neu 1515/1.5Y (1500kv). Should perform great in the same setup now and provide more power.
Otherwise, try a Neu 1521/1Y (1577kv). This is a bigger can and will have even more power than stated above. |

The align motor has plenty of torque, but does spin up a bit slower than a 4 pole inrunner like a neu. I have a feeling that you would notice a fair difference if you went to a 7s2p a123 setup, and ran a 1515 2.5d. I have a feeling your 1p a123 batt is dropping quite a bit of voltage under load. Plus 8s a123 is a bit much for the MMM.
