I know a guy from racing who's mmm stopped working after he updated software, but I don't think any wires caught fire.

ther emust have been some kinda symoltanious failure.
so by coincidence after you updated the firmware there might have been a stack on your previous run....might have allowed some arking from the main power board to get onto the BEC board bad luck :( shaun the porthole from the noob world an here has been opened!! that's how i got in. |

This weekend I ran the first 2 qualifiers with the previous Firmware and then the 3rd qualifier and main race with the updated firmware.
No problems. The throttle response felt "smoother" to me with the update. |
