That is sometimes common due to everyone's marketing scheme. The moment you see a 40C pack from one guy, you'll see 40C the next day from the other. Then one will claim 40C+ so the other will come in a 48C or 50C or 60C and it'll keep going that way. Same thing goes for ESCs, one company will claim 540A and then here comes one that claims 780A and a lot of people out there really falls for it lol.

are you talking about hobbwing and their 150a esc with a claim of 1080a burst? i heard that the 2 ESCs are not all that different. they supposedly use the same mosfets.
They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
