As you can see in the rear of the motor can is the intake. I will put a piece of foam or some kind of filter around that whole area. I'm actually leaning towards covering the whole motor(mount and all) in some kind of filter cloth/material. but for sure the rear will have a filter and the front sides of the motor will be shielded as well...

Hey, thanks.. I will shim it for sure.. I'll have to figure something out for the battery mounting... Right now, I I'm thinking of mounting the battery on an angle in the rear. But I'll have to play with it, because I want it as balanced as possible for the jumps.
